![]() Advanced massage techniques are a useful adjunct to one’s health plan to promote healing and maintain health. Massage is useful for many conditions, including chronic pain, soft tissue injuries and stress reduction.
Clinical massage therapy can also benefit patients with post-operative edema, reduced range of motion and nervous system problems. It requires extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology, as well as an intuitive approach to an individual’s needs. In addition to hands-on-work, the treatment involves postural assessment, muscle testing, and determination of predisposing factors and corrective exercise or stretching. What is Therapeutic Massage? Chris Wilson, LMT is a Clinical Massage Therapist who has been in practice since 2000. He is a graduate of and former instructor at the Soma Institute of Clinical Massage Therapy in Chicago.
Chris has expertise in Myofascial Release, Sports and Trauma Recovery, Neuro-Muscular as well as Therapeutic massage. Additional specialties include Craniosacral, Zero balancing and Manual Lymphatic Drainage therapies. He is also a Reiki Master. A typical treatment may integrate Craniosacral therapy and Reiki into a Deep Tissue or Therapeutic massage framework. |
